| About the Team |
The 2008 boys' track team ended their season with a .500 record. The team is comprised of 20-30 student-athletes of varying ability levels. Students are encouraged to learn and train to compete in two or more events. We have a small team, but we are able to field competitors in every event including the two relays, where we may even enter a second relay team. In fact, the '08 4x400 relay team, which was comprised of four underclassmen set a new school record of 3:38.87 at the New England Championships. We are losing Kevin Will who took second in the shot at the NEs, but returning a very competitive team
Our current track is outdated, but plans are underway to build a new synthetic track. Because of this, our home meets are currently being held at Old Rochester Regional High School which is 3 miles from campus. We compete against a couple of local high schools and members of the I.S.L., such as Governor's Academy, St. George's, Milton and Thayer, in addition to competing in the ISTA Championship meet and the New England Prep School Track Association Div. II championships. The team is a close knit group of athletes who are united by team work and good sportsmanship.

Winslow says ...
What has been your most rewarding experience at Tabor? The ability to form a band, and to have the recourses to practice and perform at school has truly made me a different person. Over the past two years we have spent hours improving as musicians, and learning the necessities involved in working together. What has been your favorite course? Mr. Conley’s Chemistry How long did it take you to feel comfortable at Tabor? I felt comfortable at Tabor before I was even accepted as a student. How’s the food? A little repetitive but always good. What did you do last weekend? Rowed in a crew race, played with my band, and hung out with friends. Care to share a few words about Orientation at Sea? Best week of my summer. It is a great way to learn about Tabor, the ocean, and yourself.
