Coaches:
Airami Bentz
Coach Airami Bentz has been teaching and coaching at Tabor since 1999. In addition to coaching basketball, Coach Bentz is the head of our Girl's Cross Country program. She was the center of Lawrence High School's 1991 Maine State Class A Championship basketball team and a captain of Bowdoin College's 1995 NESCAC Championship basketball team as well as a four-year member of the Bowdoin Track & Field team. Coach Bentz has been working with high school athletes for 14 years and she has used her experience as the Girls' Head Track coach at Cushing Academy (1995-1999) to maintain a deep team of cross-country runners who enjoy competing as well as sharing in memorable team experiences. She teaches English and lives with her family in Baxter dormitory here on campus. If you are interested in running at Tabor, you can contact Coach Bentz at abentz@taboracademy.org.
Ann Lovely
Coach Ann Lovely has been at Tabor since 2007. She assists with both the Girl's Cross Country team and the Spring Track Team. Before arriving at Tabor, Coach Lovely was a four year member of the Women's Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track Teams at Bates College. She was a captain of all three teams her senior year. While running at Bates, she earned All-ECAC Honors in both Cross Country and Indoor Track as well as the Athletic Department Senior Sportsmanship Award. At Tabor, Coach Lovely teaches chemistry and lives in Lillard South East dormitory here on campus.

About the Team

Although the Girls' Cross-Country team graduated our captains and a number of strong runners from last season, the team's rebuilding promises to be made easier with twenty returning runners under the strong leadership of senior captains Leslie Cowen, Laurel McCaig, and Caroline Tocci. In addition, there are several runners new to Tabor who will provide an infusion of talent and speed to an experienced team. With some newly added races on the schedule and an excited core of runners ready to have a great fall, the 2008 season looks to be a rewarding one!
