Lynne Barker Coach Lynne Barker began coaching the girls’ varsity lacrosse team in 2007. Previous to joining the Tabor coaching staff Coach Barker most recently was the varsity field hockey and JV lacrosse coach at St. Mark’s School. Prior to coaching in the independent school world, Lynne coached the Brunswick, ME high school varsity team for 6 years, leading the team to the semi-final rounds of the state championship in her final two years. Additionally, Lynne, along with her husband David, Tabor ‘72, were the co-founders of the SYA youth lacrosse program in Fairfax County, VA and the Brunswick Youth Lacrosse program in Maine where there is an annual award named in their honor celebrating the girl and boy who best exemplify enthusiasm, devotion and sportsmanship to Brunswick Youth Lacrosse. Lynne’s playing days were spent on the fields of Bowdoin College. Lynne is the freshman dean, teaches Spanish, coaches JV field hockey and lives in Lillard Hall with her husband David ’72 and their dog, Jack. Coach Barker can be contacted at lbarker@taboracademy.org. |

| About the Team |
 |
 |
|
The 2008 girls’ lacrosse team made tremendous improvements this season while competing week in and week out against the top lacrosse programs in New England. Each player battled until the final whistle as they worked to perfect their skills and execute team tactics. One notable statistic is the substantial increase in number of goals scored this year – 39 goals more for a 44% increase. Because of their relentless spirit and work ethic, Tabor girls’ lacrosse is now one step closer to being a force in the NEPSAC lacrosse community. Go Seawolves!

Hoon Ki
Name: Hoon Ki "Kevin" Kim
Hometown: Suwon, South Korea
Former school: Hillside School
Why I came to Tabor: I got into three other schools. Out of all those 4 schools, there was one school that was considered a better school than Tabor in Korea, but Tabor had a better future. I made a good choice, and now Tabor is known better than that school.
Leadership positions: Proctor, Head Tour Guide
After school activities: Varsity Lacrosse, Music Alternative
Clubs: Sending the Happiness Club, Reading Club
Courses last year: English 3, BC Calculus, Physics Honors, AP Chemistry, Spanish 3 Honors, Madrigals
Courses this year: English 4, Multi Variable/Differential Equations, AP Statistics, APc Physics, US History, Spanish 4/5, Madrigals
Favorite thing about Tabor: Silvershell Beach. Whenever things get stressful, I go on a beach run and spend some time there and relax.
Favorite class and why: BC Calculus. I think a lot to solve the problems and try really hard to figure out the questions. I develop my mind the most in BC Calculus.
Favorite dining hall food: Fried Beef
Favorite Beebe food: Beebe Riser
Favorite movies: Matrix Series
Favorite singer/group: Led Zeppelin
