Coach:

	Kelly Walker Coach Kelly Walker joined the Tabor faculty in the fall of 1987. She teaches Spanish and currently works as the assistant Athletic Director. Coach Walker has coached field hockey both at the JV and Varsity level since the fall of 1987. As well, she is the girls’ Varsity Tennis coach. Coach Walker graduated from Hamilton College where she was the captain of the Women’s tennis team. Kelly lives in Marion with her husband, T.J., and their three children, Channing, Anne, and Sarah. About the Team

The 2008 Girls' Varsity Tennis team got off to a slow start due to the wet New England weather. After having three of its first four matches cancelled due to rain, the team hit the courts against some of the toughest competition in New England. The Seawolves had convincing wins over Cushing and Pomfret and a tie with a strong Dana Hall team. The highlight of the season was probably the match against Middlesex as both teams truly battled and ended with the Seawolves losing 7 - 8 in a final tiebreaker! It was exciting for both teams. There were numerous individual victories for the squad throughout the season and the rising players will be tough next spring. The team says goodbye to seniors Jenna Meola (4 years), Shep Hallberg (3 years), Sophie Moore, Brooke Dunkley, and Chelsea Modlin (2 years) and to junior Laura Schurenkramer who was a one year exchange student from Germany. Number two player, junior Katie Clark and number four player, sophomore Celia Dyer, and number six player, junior Tyler Mitchell, as well as junior Abigail Gray and sophomore Alden Drake, will step up to fill some big shoes in 2009.
