| About the Team |
The Tabor Varsity Field Hockey team had a great fall season. The team ended with its best overall record, 10 - 5 - 1, in seven years. The team earned some exciting wins over Milton, Brooks, KUA and Holderness. The true highlight of the season was a 1 - 0 win over Holderness when the Tabor goalie, Meghan Clancy, was forced to make a huge save on a penalty stroke with 46 seconds left on the clock. Leading the squad this year with intensity and determination were twelve seniors. Three of these seniors were four-year members of the team; Grace Emmons (tri-captain), Lauren Burke and Casey McNamara. We will say good-bye to nine other seniors as well; Tri-captains Gina Giuggio and Kelsey Markovich, as well as Brittany Usmail, Mimi Neal, Jena LeBlanc, Mildred Conroy, Aimee Kelleher, Julie Hendren and Jenna Meola. The team also says thank you and good-bye to Helena von Hardenburg who is a one year German exchange student. All of these players brought a sense of hard work and competition to the field every day. They encouraged their teammates to raise the level of their game and no one on this squad ever gave up. They played hard in every game until the final whistle blew. The returning players include six talented juniors and two very talented underclassmen. With the excellent season that the JV teams had this fall, the future looks bright for Tabor field hockey!
