Requirements for admission are as follows:

The application packet contains detailed instructions about the following requirements, as well as envelopes for your convenience. Packets may be obtained by calling the Admissions office at 508-291-8300, or by going to the On-Line Inquiry Form.

  1. Parents should complete the Application for Admission and return it with the $50 application fee. (The international student fee is $100.)
The Application deadline is January 31

        1. Download forms from our website.
        2. If you plan on interviewing in February, your application must be complete.
        3. Contact the admissions office at 508-291-8300.

  1. The student needs to complete and return the Student Information & Essays.
  2. Candidates must have specific recommendations from school officials, current English and Math teachers, and an additional current teacher of their choice.
  3. Applicants must supply a current official transcript that also includes the previous two years of academic achievement.
  4. Candidates must achieve satisfactory scores relative to other Tabor candidates on the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) prior to completion of the application. The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) may also serve as an objective indication of ability. Although the SSAT is preferred, TOEFL is accepted for international students. For those applying for 11th grade, the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is accepted.

Click here to go to the SSAT Web Site.

Click here to get information about the ISEE on the ERB Web Site.

Click here to download the Common Application from the TABS website.

  5. Except under extenuating circumstances, a personal interview with a member of the Admissions staff is required of all candidates. The school recommends that candidates visit Tabor during the academic year, but summer visits can be arranged. A student-led tour is part of the school visit. It is in the applicant's best interest to have an on-campus interview, but if travel to Tabor is not viable, an applicant may schedule a phone interview. It is the responsibility of the candidate to make the phone appointment and contact the Admissions Office at the scheduled time.
