Recognizing Academic Excellence
Tabor regularly recognizes students who have achieved excellence in their academic pursuits. Twice each year (at the conclusion of the first semester and at the annual Prize Day ceremony in the spring) the faculty recognizes the most outstanding student in each subject area. Several book prizes and general academic distinctions are also awarded at the Prize Day ceremony.
Tabor also recognizes academic excellence each semester by naming students to the High Honors, Honors and Commended List based upon the following criteria:
High Honors: Overall average for the Semester is 90 or above
Honors: Overall average for the Semester is 85 or above
Commended: Overall average for the Semester is 80 or above, with no single grade below 75 and no more than one grade below 80
