Marion is a stunning place to be in the fall season. The harbor is full of boats and the sun sets late in the evening when we first return to school. After our student proctors return, many of our fall athletes are found plying their skills in preparation for their upcoming seasons. Field hockey, football, soccer and cross country are the fall interscholastic sports which well over 250 of our students compete in at some level. Among the highlights that our student athletes look forward to in the fall are competing for the newly formed Colonial Football League title, taking part in the New England Cross Country Championship and, at the end of the season, being part of the community building experience of Holderness Day where teams at all levels and fanatical fans make for a great atmosphere.

Those that would like to try something new may wish to be part of our fall instructional program. In this, students with no prior experience can spend three weeks at a time learning to sail, row a crew shell, play squash or some of the basics on the tennis courts. Listed below are all of our fall offerings:

Tabor Athletic Requirement:

Everyone must pursue a Tabor after-school activity all three seasons.

Minimum Requirement:

Freshmen and Sophomores must take at least one interscholastic sport and must be active at least two seasons. Juniors and Seniors have the same requirement of being active two seasons but they do not have to take an interscholastic sport.
