Why Mentoring is Important

I think we all know that getting started in a career, or finding your first job is a daunting task. Having people to call on to get some advice, help with introductions, or maybe even an internship or a job makes the process so much more enjoyable and effective. Tabor alumni are in every profession and span the country. Our network is wide and willing and has already made a difference to Tabor alums who are just getting started.

Please take this opportunity, if you are willing, to log on to our new email directory and check the box that indicates you are willing to be a mentor to someone at Tabor who might be starting out, or starting down a new road. While you may never be called, I think you will find it very rewarding to help someone if you can. You are never too young or old to help, either! So sign up and open the door to the possibility of helping someone out.

The Tabor connection is very strong, and it will only strengthen our school if we use those strong feelings to help our fellow graduates as well.
