"The Annual Fund supports every aspect of Tabor Academy. The support of our alumni, parents and friends is so critical to the school and to the future of this institution." Kate Howard Marvel '87, Director of Annual Giving
Tabor's Annual Fund, with a goal of $2.15 million this year, provides critical support to all areas of the school. Along with tuition and endowment availment, it is the fuel oil that feeds Tabor's fiscal furnace. The Annual Fund covers 10% of the school's annual budget. These funds are used by the school in all areas, from funding faculty salaries to underwriting technology improvements. Indeed, to replace the funds gained each year from the Annual Fund, Tabor would need to invest $43 million today in the endowment. Another way to view the importance of this fund is to imagine Tabor with 10 percent less of everything: less salaries, less programming, less technology, less opportunity.
Our goal is to increase the unrestricted portion of the total fund to ten percent of the school’s operating budget. Currently, only 8.5% of the total fund is comprised of these critical unrestricted dollars. New leadership partners will join our faithful friends as we achieve this critical objective for Tabor by 2011. We invite your participation.
